After the past 9 or so days, it has become obvious that the new president intends to do exactly what he said he would do in the months leading up to the election. Accompanied by a lapdog, democtratically-controlled congress, we should not be surprised at what he does to this country in the months to come.
We are about to see, if he is left unchecked, a dark period in our country's history. All semblance of moderation will be abandoned in favor of a liberal government that will have the new president, as a TV pundit recently observed, make Bill Clinton look like a conservative.
Rush Limbaugh has been targeted by the president as a force NOT to be listened to. Rush mentioned on Hannity, I believe, that if the president succeeds, that success in itself will be bad for America. And so, Rush expressed the feeling that "I hope he fails". If the left-wing agenda the president has adopted (see the White House webiste for all the lurid details), the country will be negatively affected for years to come. Therefore, it is a logical hope that should be expresssed by millions of honest, hardworking, patriotic Americans, that the president DOES FAIL. For if he succeeds, we will all pay the price.
Already, the president is rushing through Congress a "stimulus" bill that will probably cost taxpayers a TRILLION dollars or more before it is all over. This bill is obviously a boondoggle and already nearly 60% of Americans, according to a recent Rasmussen poll, fear that the Democrats will be spending too much money.
My objective, over the upcoming months, is to form a grass roots movement, "We Hope He Fails", that will be represented in every state. This organization will have the fundamental goal to reach out to every congressperson in the federal government and bring as much pressure to bear as possible to ensure that the agenda of the new president is a total failure. The result of that failure will be taking back the congress and the White House in 2012. Make no mistake, failure in this instance is not an option....it is an imperative. Success for this president is failure for this country.
