Well, so far, after two weeks on the job, the new president is, as we hoped, failing miserably on several fronts. And, as we have spoken about, his failure leads to the country's success. So far, Obama is receiving bad reviews for his cabinet picks and his unbelievably bad, and completely misnamed, "stimulus" package. In fact, had we a couple of weeks ago written down how badly we wanted these first two weeks to go for him, we would not have dared to be so optimistic.

Regarding his cabinet selections, he now has three picks, Bill Richardson, Tom Daschle, and Nancy Killefer who have been forced out before their Senate confirmation hearings. Plus, he has a Treasury secretary, Tim Geithner, who could not be elected to a city council post due to his tax/income indiscretions, and an Attorney General, Eric Holder, who has gone on the record as being soft on terrorists. Regarding these last two picks, it is too bad that their nominations were confirmed but at least millions of people are now aware of the incompetency Obama has shown in selecting his team. And, perhaps, knowing that they will be under a microscope, the Treasurer and Attorney General will be a bit careful before committing grievous acts that will hurt the country.

Maybe there could be a new TV show entitled, "Are you Better Than A 5th Grader at Putting Together a Cabinet?". I thought the president read the Lincoln Biography, "Team of Rivals", but I think he must have read the not-so-bestseller, "Team of Tax Cheats". Where did he get these people? Maybe he should have gotten a copy of "Presidential Team-Building for Dummies". This is seriously very scary....If this president can't efficiently put together a team of honest Americans to help run our country, how so you think he will do when he is faced with a challenge that could have American lives at stake?

The "Boondoggulus" package is in the Senate having brought the entire Republican caucus to unanimity for the first time in recent memory. Even 12 Democrats in the House voted against their president's bill. It remains to be seen how the republicans in the Senate will handle this but we will be very surprised if the vote is not yet another embarrassment for our pal, "O'Blama" (that's right, you can be sure that whenever faced with an opportunity to "man-up" and be accountable for messes he has directly caused, our president will find someone or something to blame it on other than himself).

It is refreshing to be on the outside looking in as the Liberals are stumbling over one another to look competently in charge while their house-of-cards, not even near completion, is beginning to crumble about their ankles. If we were the "I told you so" kind of people, that phrase could already begin getting a terrific workout, and, IT'S ONLY 14 DAYS INTO THE NEW ADMINISTRATION!

We will be writing often to bring to your attention areas in which O'blama has, or is about to, fail. Remember, we have always and will continue to support the great Office of the Presidency of the United States, but, as regards O'blama and his liberal agenda, the failure of his ultra-liberal agenda is our success, so WE HOPE HE FAILS!

  1. I am seriously laughing out loud at the "are you smarter than a 5th grader" comment. Yes, this is all very interesting to watch unfurl...I don't think its all that surprising. Hopefully there will be pressure to select completely qualified people for these positions the second go around...
